More than 20 years ago, during my fine art studies, I learnt printmaking techniques, including intaglio and relief ones. I particularly liked aquatint and a mixture of etching and aquatint for their tonality and softness. Later on, while working as an Art teacher I had to give up printmaking for some personal reasons. Yet, my love to this wonderful world of black and white tones, textures, lines is still alive and finds its way in a form of what I call DIGRAPHY - digital graphics.

Language of Art - Key Concepts

Whether you are new to Arts or you are professional artist, it is important to understand and create your own art language. Well, I sometimes call it handwriting of visual art. Creating a visual image is like writing; it serves to pass on messages; it serves for communication. Being a child, you had to learn each single letter and then to learn to put them together to make words, and sentences and so on... But letters were just a starting point. And similar case is with Visual Arts. They too, have their own "letters". Luckily or not, there are much fewer of them neccesary for visual communication. What are they?

Believe it or not, my 4-leg friends, Bari and Uzi (their photos below), saved my broken soul several years ago. I was in deep despair and depression after my dark period. At that time, between 2003-2006, I was able to notice only the worst things in this world, nothing seemed good for me.

When the dogs appeared in our family, they've made us regularly go for a walk out to the wood. Observing them, their happiness at simplest pleasures, no matter how bad the weather was, made me realise that there are countless reasons to be happy, even if nothing particular changed in my life. It is several days since I came back from hospital after a small surgery on my leg I broke last year. I didn't manage to publish the info about my interview at MAVORARTS before this. Generally, I love shooting beautiful landscapes, plants, flowers, etc, but I feel some special bond to things that are abandoned; things that are considered ugly and useless. Although, I am a dedicated black and white artist, I can't resist the poetry of autumn colours:) Below there are some recent shots of botanic gardens in my hometown. There is a beech wood there which is my favourite spot for shooting. I love the mystery the tall, sky-reaching trees create there. To think, they have been growing for hundreds years; they were before us and will be long after the world forgets us.

IPA AWARDS - Life Always Surprises Me

It is 4 weeks now, when I am stuck at home with my broken leg, looking through the window at the Sun and missing the opportunity to do outdoor shooting. I learn to be patient this way:) Yet, to my surprise, life has some unexpected pleasant things for me, too, just to keep everything in balance. During these weeks of my compulsory stay at home and time of reflections and seemingly doing nothing special, I have sold more works than during the rest of this year.  I have also got more assignement work concerning building websites  than ever before. And to my greater surprise, all the websites I have done recently are for people, who share similar outlook than me.

Inspirational - The Mystery of Winter Landscape

These are the last Winter shots I did this year before the Spring. time The day was unique for taking photos as there was some frost that made everything as if covered with magic silver powder, thus emphasising the shapes and textures all around. Mysterious atmosphere was hanging in the air; no sounds, no people only my two dogs and me. I love such days as I may feel perfect inner balance and unity with the eternal. It is then when I feel I really live, not just exist.
